Dr. Catherine Reynolds
Catherine Reynolds, PsyD
Dr. Reynolds is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY#003947) who provides psychotherapy to couples and individual adult clients who are working towards creating less stressful and more meaningful lives for themselves. Her 10+ years of clinical training informs the evidence based approaches that she utilizes with her clients, and her approach, which is generally informed by cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and internal family systems theories, is tailored to the unique needs of each client or couple. In addition to therapy, Dr. Reynolds conducts psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults in order to obtain diagnostic clarity regarding their presenting concerns. This provides the foundation for provision of academic/workplace accommodations and insightful feedback to other healthcare professionals (i.e., pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychotherapists).
Prior to joining Concierge Psychology, Dr. Reynolds trained in some of the leading institutions in the country, including Emory University, Purdue University, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta before transitioning to private practice. Her past clientele have been diverse in terms of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious views, and socioeconomic status and presenting concerns have included relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, and personality disorders. Dr. Reynolds graduated magna cum laude, with degrees in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Georgia. She was at the top of her cohort in graduate school, earning her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Based on her strong clinical acumen, Dr. Reynolds was invited to return to the Georgia School of Professional Psychology as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Reynolds has also provided clinical supervision to doctoral level psychology students during their graduate training and has been featured as an expert on NBC 11Alive’s Morning Rush. Her diverse clinical background has enriched her work with clients and firmly rooted her clinical skills in a foundation of academic literature and evidence-based practice.
